Critical Care

Advanced care when you need it most

Our critical medicine teams provide advanced care and life support for severely ill or injured patients of all ages. Patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) receive 24-hour care and close monitoring by a highly specialized team. Patients who need critical care have life-threatening illnesses or injuries, including:

  • Heart attack or heart failure
  • Kidney failure
  • Respiratory failure
  • Sepsis or serious infection
  • Serious injuries from accidents or falls
  • Severe burns

Our critical care teams work closely with specialists in other departments to help patients achieve the fullest possible recovery.
