Overview

Interactive workshop whose goal is to ensure that all who interact with patients are both comfortable and confident using evidence base tools that enhance patient understanding. This one-and-one-half hour workshop will start with a brief didactic session describing the need and the evidence underline the teach back method. Learners will be able to describe what teach back is or isn't and will have an opportunity to demonstrate skills in a realistic role play involving communication with a patient. the workshop will be preceded and followed by a brief survey accessing knowledge, attitude and practice regarding the teach back method.
