Erin McCabe, Yoga Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer and owner of Erin McCabe Wellness.

Please join this workshop, to learn about rebuilding your core from the foundation. We will discuss the anatomy of DRA (Diastasis Rectus Abdominis) and how our abdomen changes in pregnancy, and we will discuss current evidence about the healing and progression of strength work in regards to DRA and postpartum healing. We will perform breath techniques and exercises to start your journey to reconnecting to your core. This workshop is for anyone who:
● has chronic back pain at any point in the day, but especially at the end of the day or after carrying their kid around
● has been told they have DRA but they don’t really know what to do with that information or they have difficulty doing the exercises despite having been given some recommendations
● has had a C-section and knows they should be doing core work or has started core work, but they just can’t connect to their strength in the same way that they used to
● feels like their abdomen is weak, soft, or vulnerable despite efforts to get back to life
     ○ This is not for anyone who has been told they have a hernia and has not yet done PT OR who hasn’t yet been cleared by their medical team for exercise. After this workshop you will have a better understanding of your abdominals and the connection of your abs and your breath. You will have an e-book with 24 videos of exercises to follow along with and progress through, along with 3 options of 6-12 min series of core routines to follow along with. And you will be reminded that none of this is your fault, but there is a lot you can do to feel stronger in your body despite these major changes to your core.

Bio: Erin McCabe is a mom of 2 who has been helping people reconnect to their core postpartum for over 10 years. With a background in athletic training which focused on post-op rehab for collegiate athletes, my education and experience is steeped in safe and effective progression. After leaving collegiate athletics I got my yoga therapy certification and began incorporating more breath practices, mindset work, and put more emphasis on how our Self is impacted by injuries and surgeries (what we might call the psychology of healing or using the bio-psycho-social model of medicine).

Testimonials:
Erin has such an in-depth understanding of common postpartum barriers and how to work past those through movement. Erin is very personable and fosters a welcoming “come as you are” environment.

Erin has had such a positive impact on my postpartum journey and is just such a kind, compassionate human being! I’m so thankful that she is part of this community and offers such an amazing service to postpartum moms!

Erin has such a thoughtful way of encouraging us to challenge ourselves while also being gentle with our body. I always left feeling stronger, more grounded, and deeply supported.
