Joanne M. Conroy, MD

Dartmouth Health CEO and president Joanne M. Conroy, MD, was honored by the Huron Consulting Group in August at its annual What’s Right in Health Care conference in Boston. Conroy was inducted into the Huron Hall of Fame and recognized as a healthcare industry difference maker.

The Huron Hall of Fame recognizes healthcare leaders who make an impact on their organizations, employees, physicians, patients, and their families, as well as the communities they serve. Award winners are dedicated and compassionate healthcare leaders who provide exceptional service and continue to make a difference in people’s lives. More than 70 healthcare leaders have been inducted into the Huron Hall of Fame during the What’s Right in Health Care conference since 2004.

“I’m honored to be the recipient of the Huron Hall of Fame Award and to join the list of others who have been recognized,” Conroy said. “In inducting me to the Hall of Fame, Huron also recognizes my Dartmouth Health colleagues who have made this award possible. I have the privilege of receiving this award because the team I lead provides compassionate, world-class care. They change the trajectory of people’s lives with their skills, their hearts and their dedication. These amazing people, from the clinical teams to the environmental services staff, are the reason I’m able to be an effective leader.”

Conroy also delivered the conference’s keynote address, “The Future of Healthcare: Care Transformation.”
