Three Dartmouth Health employees were recognized as 2026 New Hampshire Healthcare Heroes for their dedication to the field.
The honorees are Ravinder Kang, MD, surgical oncologist at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC); Justin Looser, MSW, MBA, chief executive officer of Hampstead Hospital, and Alyssa Bostwick, CMA, a certified medical assistant at Cheshire Medical Center (Cheshire).
Kang was recognized for the compassion and empathy she brings to every patient interaction. Colleagues and patients describe her as a source of comfort during some of life’s most difficult moments, helping patients navigate complex diagnoses with kindness while ensuring they understand their care plans.
Bostwick was honored for consistently making patients feel comfortable, cared for and treated with dignity. Whether offering reassurance during difficult moments or stepping in to help with responsibilities beyond her role, she is known for her unwavering commitments to patients and teammates.
As CEO of Hampstead Hospital, Looser was recognized for his empathy and hands-on leadership in serving some of New Hampshire’s most vulnerable children. In addition to leading the organization, he is known for working alongside staff, including on weekends, to help wherever needed, from cleaning units to supporting frontline teams.
The New Hampshire Healthcare Heroes program recognizes healthcare professionals across the state who go above and beyond in service to their patients, colleagues, and communities. Established in 2020 by employer and community partners of the Healthcare Sector Partnership Initiative (SPI), the annual program celebrates individuals whose compassion, leadership and commitment exemplify the best of New Hampshire’s healthcare workforce.
Kang was recognized during a ceremony at DHMC on July 31, and Bostwick was celebrated at a ceremony at Cheshire on Aug. 14. Looser will be recognized at Hampstead Hospital in September.
