Dartmouth Health taps Ada D. Demir as its next supply chain VP

Dartmouth Health has selected Ada D. Demir, MBA, as its next supply chain vice president. Her new role, which will serve the entire Dartmouth Health system, begins September 2.

Demir comes from to Dartmouth Health from Bronx-based Montefiore Health System, where she served since 2018 as vice president of procurement and supply chain operations. In this role, Demir managed strategic sourcing, vendors and contractors, purchasing operations, data analytics, food and nutrition, and other key operational areas, leading change management across the system and spearheading new initiatives. She specifically led transformation projects in the areas of labor management, growth and revenue excellence, and managed information technology improvements in digitization, quality and supply chain as well as clinical, non-clinical and pharmacy procurement. She also managed overall supply chain management operations, including capital planning, financial and resource management and continuous improvement programs.

Prior to joining Montefiore, Demir’s previous roles included senior director of operations and supply chain management for New York University Langone Health; director of operations for Novartis Pharmaceuticals; and director of global operations for ThermoFisher Scientific in Life Sciences Technologies. She holds an MBA in healthcare management from George Washington University, a revenue cycle management certification from the University of San Diego, and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

As Dartmouth Health, Demir will manage system purchasing, sourcing, capital and fleet, supply chain software, contracting, clinical quality value analysis and supporting the New England Alliance for Health. Her scope of work will also include process improvement, business continuity planning, regulatory compliance and an on-going focus on transparency and sustainability.
