The Dartmouth Hitchcock Workforce Readiness Institute has changed its name to the Dartmouth Health Career Institute (DHCI). In addition to its new title, DHCI has expanded its scope of career training programs and will mark these changes with an open house on Wednesday, April 30.
As Dartmouth Health’s registered career school, DHCI now encompasses all training programs that lead to certification or licensure. Under its new name, DHCI continues to deliver entry-level training programs, including medical assistant (MA), licensed nurse assistant (LNA), pharmacy technician, surgical technologist, phlebotomist, and ophthalmic assistant. DHCI also now includes Dartmouth Health’s advanced career training (ACT) programs for current employees, which are delivered in partnership with educational institutions nationwide. These programs allow employees to engage in both classroom and clinical learning locally.
DHCI has three training sites in southern New Hampshire, the Monadnock Region and the Upper Valley to expand access to people looking to train for healthcare careers all over the Granite State. The open house will be held at the Upper Valley site, located at 21 Lafayette St. in Lebanon, which was recently renovated and features updated classrooms, a new surgical technology lab and a new medical assistant exam room for training.
