Johanna L. Beliveau, DNP, MBA, RNVisiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire (VNH), a member of Dartmouth Health, recently recognized the achievements of its team members at an Employee and Volunteer Appreciation event, which is held annually in November during National Home Health & Hospice Month. VNH president and CEO Johanna L. Beliveau, DNP, MBA, RN, bestowed awards and the organization celebrated employee anniversaries.
“Our team members are the heart and soul of VNH,” said Beliveau. “For all of us, the mission of caring for our patients always comes first, so it’s easy to overlook the extraordinary things our team members accomplish every day. During events like this, we have the privilege of pausing to recognize the dedication, resilience and heart that our team brings to everything they do.”
The following employees were recognized during the celebration:
- Tammy L. Tarsa, MBA, BSN, RN, chief clinical officer: Excellence in Leadership Award
- Bethany Yaeger, clinical operations assistant: Administrative Professional of the Year
- Dawna J. Lawrence, personal care assistant: Paraprofessional of the Year
- Heidi J. Smith, spiritual care counselor: Carole Lechthaler Award for Exemplary Professional Practice
“I believe that most people go into healthcare because they want to make a difference, not for the recognition,” said Tarsa. “So, when the recognition is given, it is the icing on the cake. All my peers here at VNH are selfless, dedicated, caring, compassionate—all for the benefit of the patients and communities we serve.”
