Dartmouth Health Chief Health Information Officer
Randa Perkins, MD, MBA, FAMIA, was appointed to the position of Chief Health Information Officer for Dartmouth Health in January 2026. An experienced physician leader and informaticist, Perkins will lead the system’s efforts in data use and technology to improve care, outcomes, and efficiency. Her work with clinical, research, and operational leaders will align IT strategy with our mission of serving patients and communities.
Perkins joins Dartmouth Health after serving as Chief Medical Information Officer and Senior Director of Clinical Informatics at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida, where she led clinical IT strategy, guided technical and design teams, and built a clinical informatics fellowship program that gained approval by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Additionally, she was an associate member of the Department of Internal Medicine at Moffitt and an associate professor of medicine at the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine.
Throughout her career, Perkins has shaped the field of health informatics at a national level. She serves on the Health Information Technology Advisory Committee, has served a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Digital Oncology Forum and contributes to the American Medical Informatics Association. Perkins speaks often at national conferences and has written and co-written many peer-reviewed publications.
Earlier in her career, Perkins practiced as a family medicine hospitalist at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and taught with the Florida State University College of Medicine, where she also received her medical degree. She also earned her master of business administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, holds active board certifications in family medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine and clinical informatics from the American Board of Preventative Medicine, and was an inaugural Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
Perkins lives in the Upper Valley with her wife and two young children.
