Our psychiatrists meet with individuals to assess the need for medications to improve health and optimize functioning. We treat the following disorders:
- Mood Disorders, including Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder
- Psychotic Disorders, including Schizoaffective Disorder and Schizophrenia
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD and Learning Disorders
- Anxiety Disorders
We aim to practice in the most pharmacologically and diagnostically conservative way possible by:
- Providing the best in evidence-based psychiatry to our patients
- Using a “biopsychosocial” treatment approach. This means we use not just medication but psychotherapy, education, and social development to effect change.
Initial assessment
The initial assessment usually takes 90 minutes and includes:
- A comprehensive diagnostic assessment
- A detailed medication review and formulation, with an evidence-based treatment plan recommendations on psychosocial interventions
- Education regarding their illness and the full range of available and effective treatments
