Dartmouth Health Chief Financial Officer
Daniel P. Jantzen. CPA, has been a member of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics and Dartmouth Health management team since 1990, and has served in a variety of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics leadership positions including Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for Operations and Chief Operating Officer. In his current role as the Dartmouth Health Chief Financial Officer, Jantzen is responsible for the financial health of the Dartmouth Health system. In 2012, he was named one of the "100 Hospital and Health System COOs to Know" by Becker's Hospital Review, a bimonthly publication offering business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems.
Prior to joining Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics, Jantzen lived in the Boston, Massachusetts area where he was a Senior Manager in the Audit Department of KPMG, primarily serving clients in the health care, public utilities and financial services industries. His KPMG clients included Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics, Boston City Hospital in Boston, MA and Public Service Company of New Hampshire.
Jantzen graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, with a bachelor's of science degree .S.in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1985.
Jantzen lives in Lebanon, New Hampshire, with his wife, Deb, and has been actively involved with a variety of Upper Valley organizations including David's House in Lebanon, NH; Crossroads Academy in Lyme, NH; and Mascoma Bank. He is also a periodic guest lecturer at the Tuck School of Business, The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the Geisel School of Medicine and enjoys passing on what he has learned to the next generation of leaders.
